grus viper

White Naped Crane, this rare crane numbers about 5,000 in the wild and nests in northeastern Mongolia and northeastern China.

Their wintering grounds in the demilitarized zone between the two Koreas makes them very vulnerable. Like all other cranes, human interference and habitat destruction is causing their decrease in numbers.
